President Donald Trump addressed the nation early this morning on Truth Social regarding the tragic plane crash at Reagan National Airport. In his post, he expressed his sorrow, saying, “I have been fully briefed on the terrible accident which just took place at Reagan National Airport. May God Bless their souls.” Trump also took a moment to commend the first responders on the scene and reassured the public that he would continue to monitor developments closely. The White House announced that he is scheduled to deliver further remarks at 11 a.m. ET.

Concerns Raised About the Crash
On social media last night, Trump shared his concerns about the nature of the accident. He wrote, “The airplane was on a perfect and routine line of approach to the airport. The helicopter was going straight at the airplane for an extended period of time.”
Trump did not hold back his frustration about the situation, calling it unacceptable. “This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented. NOT GOOD!!!” he added.

The crash involved an American Airlines jet and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter. Officials have confirmed that all 67 individuals aboard the two aircraft are presumed dead. The collision occurred over the Potomac River, a short distance from Reagan National Airport. Emergency crews have recovered 28 bodies so far, and recovery operations are ongoing.
