A Bold Protest by a War Veteran

A 98-year-old World War II veteran named Ken Turner took part in a striking protest that has drawn attention across Europe. In a video made by the British activist group Led By Donkeys, Turner drove a Sherman tank over a Tesla vehicle. The act was aimed at criticizing Elon Muskโ€™s recent involvement in European politics.

Turner, who fought during the Second World War, said in the video, โ€œWeโ€™ve crushed fascism before, and weโ€™ll crush it again.โ€ His words came as he rolled the tank over a Tesla Model 3 with a license plate that read โ€œFASCISM.โ€ The video was designed to send a strong message about concerns over Muskโ€™s political actions and influence.

Concerns Over Political Influence

Elon Musk has been making public statements in support of far-right and anti-establishment parties in both the UK and Germany. This has led to rising criticism in Europe, where many view his comments as dangerous. Teslaโ€™s sales in Europe have dropped sharply during the first months of 2025.

Led By Donkeys, known for their political campaigns, organized the video as a response. The group was first formed to oppose the UKโ€™s Conservative Party, but has since widened its focus. In the video, Turner speaks out against Muskโ€™s support for parties such as Alternative for Germany.

A History of Protest

This isnโ€™t the first time Led By Donkeys has protested Muskโ€™s actions. After Muskโ€™s earlier involvement in German politics, the group joined forces with a German activist group. Together, they projected a large image of Musk on a Tesla factory in Berlin with a message criticizing his political ties.

The recent tank video adds to growing public debate across Europe.
