The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was a prominent Japanese fighter aircraft during World War II. Renowned for its agility and long-range capabilities, it played a significant role in the Pacific theater. The Last Airworthy A6M Zero
This particular A6M5 Zero, with the tail number 61-120, was captured during the war and later transported to the United States for evaluation. After extensive testing, it was eventually acquired by the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, California. Restored to flying condition in 1978 and again in 2016, it stands as the only authentic A6M Zero still flying with its original Nakajima Sakae 31 engine, a 14-cylinder radial engine producing 1,200 horsepower.
