Absolutely Stunning!
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-4 made a remarkable public debut at the Hahnweide 2025 Oldtimer Meeting. The warbird captured the attention of aviation enthusiasts from around the world. Following many years of painstaking and historically faithful restoration, this aircraft is considered one of the most accurate flying examples of the legendary German fighter in existence today. Every detail was carefully recreated to preserve its wartime authenticity.
Powering the aircraft is the only currently operational Daimler-Benz DB 601N engine in the world. It features an impressive 1,175 horsepower and produces the unmistakable sound of the Luftwaffe’s frontline fighter. The Bf 109 E-4 was expertly flown by Charlie Brown, showcasing both the aircraft’s performance and the success of its extraordinary restoration.
