This incident follows a string of crashes near the Pearland Regional Airport. Just weeks earlier, on February 16, a single-engine Cessna 172 made an emergency landing in a field near the airport after the pilot, who was the sole occupant, experienced mechanical issues. Fortunately, the pilot was unharmed.

Authorities have yet to release additional details on Thursday’s crash, but both DPS and Pearland Police are continuing their investigation.
