The Moment A German Veteran From WW2 Flies Again

What a Moment!
Erich Brunotte, a former Luftwaffe ace, flew over 600 combat missions during WWII. Now, at 96 years old, he had the rare chance to fly a Messerschmitt Bf-109 once again—decades after the war ended.

Even more remarkable is the fact that he survived, as few German pilots made it through that many missions alive.

One can only imagine the flood of emotions he felt taking to the skies in the very aircraft that once defined his wartime experience.
