Cargo Plane Gets Hit By Missile, Lands Safely!

What A Miracle!

This A300 got hit by a missile while taking off from Baghdad, Iraq, that caused its wings to get set on fire!

The cargo plane was struck on the left wing with a surface-to-air missile while on a scheduled flight to Bahrain. This resulted in a fire and a complete loss of hydraulic flight control systems onboard. 

Fortunately, the three-man crew pulled off an injury-free landing using differential engine thrust as the only pilot input.

The safe landing is even more impressive, since the aircraft had major damages to the wing, had no hydraulic controls, a rather fast landing speed, and landed onto an unprepared runway!

It’s a miracle they pulled this off!
