The B-25 Maid in the Shade, a veteran of World War II, recently took to the skies again after years of restoration, making its first flight of the year a momentous occasion.

This twin-engine medium bomber, famed for its role in the Doolittle Raid and other crucial missions, stands as a testament to the resilience of both the aircraft and those who keep its history alive.
Watching the Maid in the Shade’s engines ignite is an awe-inspiring moment. Its two Wright R-2600 Cyclone engines roar to life with a crackling growl, spitting smoke as the propellers begin to churn.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the Maid in the Shade takeoff in this video. At least we saw its first engine start though!
