Watch how the beautiful B-29 “Doc” roars to life! Got to say, nothing really beats the sound of a radial engine start-up. Love hearing the sound of that first engine firing up.
It’s also great to know since there are only two B-29 Superfortress planes that are restored to full running condition. For many years, it was simply the B-29 Superfortress FiFi run by the Commemorative Air Force that was the only airworthy Superfortress. Then, the B-29 Superfortress Doc was restored.
The B-20 is truly a masterpiece aircraft design of its class- it remains unmatched up until this day. Impressive!
