During the 1970s, the B-29 ‘FiFi’ was rescued from a scrap yard. After three years of meticulous restoration, it was christened ‘FiFi’ in 1974, in honor of Josephine “Fifi” O’Connor Agather, the wife of Dallas businessman and WWII Army Air Force veteran Vic N. Agather.

Following its restoration, ‘FiFi’ toured with the Confederate Air Force (CAF) for many years, becoming a symbol of dedication and historical preservation.
