Boeing’s latest widebody, the 777X, may still be waiting to enter commercial service, but at Farnborough it showed the world it was worth the wait. Aviation enthusiasts were left in awe as the world’s largest twinjet leapt into the sky almost vertically, climbing like a rocket before leveling off in a breathtaking maneuver.

Powered by two GE9X engines, the most powerful turbofans ever built, the 777X combines raw muscle with cutting-edge aerodynamics.

The Farnborough International Airshow was the perfect stage for the 777X’s dramatic display. Taking off steeply before banking into elegant turns, the jet highlighted its agility despite its massive size.
Its appearance followed another Boeing star, the 737 MAX-10, making its debut as the largest member of the best-selling 737 family.
