Choir Sings Breathtaking Tribute To Departed WWII Veteran – It Will Bring Tears To Your Eyes
Requiem For A Hero.
Over 16 million Americans served in World War II, they stormed beaches, flew into the skies, sailed the seas, liberated cities and gave their lives to save the world from evil. We honor those who fought for those who could not protect themselves and we will always be grateful for the sacrifices they made. Sadly the number of veterans who served in WWII is not what it once was and it continues to fall. When a hero falls we pay tribute to their service no matter how big or small. Recently on a flight from Germany to the United States, the pilot announced that the remains of a WWII veteran were being escorted off the plane and a choir returning from a European tour stood up and sung “Battle Hymn of the Republic” in unison.
“I was so moved by that I had my cell phone with me and I thought, I have to capture this.”

The Iowa Ambassadors of Music Choir sang an amazing song to honor this soldier. They did not know his name or where he was from, all they knew is that he was a hero and deserves a beautiful farewell.
