A Winair De Havilland DH-6 Twin Otter made an insanely close final approach into St. Barts’ infamous Gustaf III Airport, shocking onlookers as it flew just a few feet above cars and motorcycles on the hilltop road. The approach, already known as one of the world’s craziest, looked more like a stunt than a scheduled flight.

The Twin Otter barely cleared the ridge before diving toward the ultra-short runway, skimming past traffic so low that even we ducked! According to some travelers, this is actually just routine for these pilots. Most of them even use only half of the runway so they can exit right toward the ramp without needing to turn at the far end.

The DH-6, known for its STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) performance, handled the challenge with ease, but for those watching, it was a white-knuckle moment!
