4 Injured After Skydiving Plane Crashes in Tennessee

DH-6 CRASHES IN TENNESSEE
A DeHavilland DH-6 Twin Otter skydiving aircraft carrying 20 people crashed shortly after takeoff near Tullahoma Regional Airport in Tennessee on Sunday, June 8, leaving four passengers injured and sparking a federal investigation.
The twin-engine aircraft had departed around 12:30 p.m. when it went down near Old Shelbyville Road, approximately 75 miles south of Nashville. Video footage from the Tennessee Highway Patrol shows the aircraft heavily damaged in a grassy field, with parts of the tail and wings broken off. Yellow caution tape and emergency vehicles surrounded the wreckage.
Three people with serious injuries were airlifted to nearby hospitals, while one individual was transported by ground ambulance. Several others with minor injuries were treated at the scene by first responders. Miraculously, no fatalities occurred, and no injuries were reported among people on the ground.
According to officials, the plane did not damage any airport or civilian structures during the crash. The FAA has launched an investigation to determine the cause.
