10. L-29 Delfin

Coming in at number 10 and the cheapest by far is the L-29 Delfin, listed at $35,000. The Delfin came out in 1954 as a trainer and can get up to 350 knots with a rate of climb of around 2,755 ft/min.

9. L-39 Albatross

This jet looks relatively agile and costs around $300,000. The Albatross is a high-performance jet trainer developed in Czechoslovakia. It was designed during the 1960s to replace the L-29 as a trainer aircraft. It’s a little light on the speed at 400 knots and can do a 590 nautical mile trip.

For $250,000, you can have this North American F-86. The Sabre is a transonic fighter jet from North American Aviation. It was considered the best and most important fighter aircraft of the Korean War. This plane had a short run because of how fast other jets and fighters were being made and went to the wayside.

The Skyhawk is a pretty plane, a real fighter, and not just a trainer. Currently, it’s for sale at $ 1.3 million. The jet earned a reputation as one of the most valuable tactical aircraft that went into service for the US Navy and US Marine Corps. It performed a large percentage of all Navy and attack missions.

You can also buy a Gnat for $250,000. The Gnat is a two-seater and originally a British fighter but was eventually converted into a trainer. It can fly 636 mph with a 10,000 ft rate of climb. What we love about this plane is that it can do a 360 roll in less than a second. How cool is that?

This jet is for sale at $2 million. This British plane is a single-engine jet-powered advanced trainer aircraft, first flown in 1974. It was developed as a low-cost, combat aircraft and is still in production. It can also produce 6,500 pounds of thrust, with a top speed of 638 mph.

The MiG-21 is a supersonic jet fighter. A 1974 Mikoyan MiG-21 is for sale at just under $250,000, and the best part is that it’s airworthy. It can also produce 15,000 pounds of thrust and a maximum speed of Mach 2.05.

3. F-4 Phantom

The Phantom is a tandem-seat fighter bomber designed as a carrier-based interceptor for the US Navy. At a bargain price of 2.95 million, you can have the world’s only privately owned F-4 Phantom.

It can climb to 98,557 feet and reach 1,650 mph with a top speed of Mach 2.23 and an initial climb rate of over 41,000 ft. per minute.

For $ 2.5 million, you can already have a 1984 MiG-29. It’s a one-seat jet with a top speed of 1,500 mph or Mach 2.25. It also has a rate of climb of 65,000 ft per minute.

Lastly, you can purchase a 1990 Sukhoi Su-27 in Utah at $8.950 million. It can reach up to 1,600 mph and a rate of climb of 59,000 ft per minute. Service ceiling at 62,000 ft.
