Pretty Impressive

In this footage, we get to see the Me 109 G4 perform a flying display at the Festival Of Flight from the pilot’s view. Although we often see old warbirds flying, it’s often rare to view them from this perspective.

We’re incredibly impressed with the climb, especially at the 5:07 mark – that climb is so powerful!

These kinds of maneuvers would usually rip the wings off of most GA aircraft. What’s amazing is that this 70-year-old war bird is not only airworthy but capable of handling this kind of stress.

Also, those engine sounds are absolute music to our ears – that low grumble that you get when the ignition is made. Up until now, the engine is purring as gloriously as before.

Is the Bf-109 one of your favorite warbirds? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
