Final Flight of the Ghost

This video shows the final race of Jimmy Leeward at the Reno Air Races. He was flying his modified P-51 Mustang, known as The Galloping Ghost. The footage captures the intense moments just before the tragic accident that ended his life. However, it does not show the plane hitting the ground. Instead, it focuses on what happened in the air during the final seconds of the flight. Viewers can see the aircraft moving at high speed before it suddenly loses control.

Parts of this video were given to the National Transportation Safety Board. Investigators used the footage to study the crash and gain a better understanding of what caused the accident.
