Initially developed to meet a WW2-era requirement, this aircraft entered service powered by a coupled turboprop engine that could output almost 3,000 shp.

The carrier-based, anti-submarine warfare aircraft features a mid-wing monoplane configuration with a tricycle undercarriage and two contra-rotating propellers.

The British ASW plane can be seen starting her Armstrong Siddeley Double Mamba turboprop engines before taking off elegantly at the Menomonie Air Show in 2017.
