Red Flag Nellis
Exercise Red Flag, also known as Red Flag Nellis is a two-week advanced aerial combat training exercise that is usually held several times a year by the United States Air Force. The goal of these exercises is to provide military pilots a realistic air combat training.
According to airailimages, a busy ops tempo at Nellis means that some of these planes may be on missions aside from the Red Flag. However, during the actual Red Flag air combat exercise, the parade of jets is one of the best impromptu air show one could ever experience.
We’re enormously impressed by the F-16s featured in the video, most of which were in the older two-tone grey scheme. The F-16 featured in the 13:50 mark also had a unique star on both wings. We just can’t get enough of them!
