The M-346 Demo Team
The demonstration team, to which the involved aircraft belonged, was no ordinary group. Established in 2023, it made its debut at the biggest air show in Poland, held in Radom. It included experienced pilots like Major Adrian โChudyโ Chudziลski and Major Robert โKillerโ Jeล. Both had impressive backgrounds as instructors for air cadets and shared a passion for flying, especially the M-346 Bielik, on which they had accumulated over a thousand hours each.
The team wasn’t just about showing off the aircraft’s moves. It held a mission to train the future pilots of fighter planes such as the F-16 and F-35. Despite their usual schedule, the pilots found joy in performing aerobatics. It was a way to share their love for flying with the public, making their dreams a reality.
Their typical routine at airshows lasted about 10 minutes, during which they aimed to display the M-346 Bielik’s maneuverability and strength. This was not just an act of entertainment but a way to demonstrate the capabilities of the aircraft and the skill of the Polish Air Force.
A Community in Mourning
The Polish Armed Forces later confirmed the heartbreaking news that Major Robert โKillerโ Jeล had succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. The loss of Major Jeล is a profound one, touching not only the military community but also the hearts of many who admired and respected him.
