Twin Legends Take Flight

Two legends of the sky take flight once more! In this incredible video, you’ll witness a breathtaking flight demonstration featuring not one, but two Lockheed P-38 Lightnings, the unmistakable twin-boom fighters that dominated the skies of World War II.
Taken at the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, California, during one of their monthly symposiums, this display brings history roaring back to life. The olive drab P-38J “23 Skidoo,” the museum’s pride, flies gracefully alongside the stunning silver P-38L “Honey Bunny,” owned by Allied Fighters and also based at Chino. Listen closely to the distinctive, smooth growl of their Allison V-1710 12-cylinder engines, routed through turbochargers to single exhausts, a sound unlike any other in aviation history. Definitely pure magic in motion!
