U2 SPY PLANE AND DODGE CHARGER CHASE CAR

This is the footage of the legendary U-2 “Dragon Lady” spy plane, now sporting fresh nose art. Few sights compare to watching this high-flying icon take off and land, guided by its V8-powered Dodge Charger chase car roaring down the runway beside it. For aviation fans, moments like these make every hour of waiting worth it.

This was definitely exhilarating to watch from start-up to flight mode. It’s certainly nice to see this warbird flying again, but it’s certainly not the quietest aircraft ever built. There’s nothing like that sound, starting at the 3:40 mark- what a beautiful noise. Only a handful of these airframes are still flying today. Incredibly, the U-2 is still flying after all these years.
