A small plane crash occurred early Wednesday morning in Manchester, Vermont, when a Piper PA-28 aircraft crashed into a snowy mountain on the side of Mount Equinox. The crash happened around 3:50 a.m., and despite the challenging circumstances, all three people aboard survived with non-life-threatening injuries.

The snow helped cushion the fall, as mentioned by Jamie Greene, the first assistant chief at the Manchester Fire Department. The pilot was able to contact 911 at 8:33 a.m. and confirmed that all passengers had injuries that were not life-threatening. First responders faced difficult conditions, with up to 4 feet of snow and rugged terrain, but they successfully rescued all three individuals from the crash site.

One of the patients was airlifted to Albany Medical Center for further evaluation, while the other two were taken to nearby hospitals. The cause of the crash is still unknown, and the FAA has launched an investigation to determine what led to the incident.

The response of the fire department and first responders was praised for their efforts in reaching the victims in such harsh conditions.
