Picture-Perfect Landings
Few places put aviation fans closer to landing aircraft than the glide slope viewing area at RAF Waddington. Positioned along the A15 at the end of the main runway, the spot draws crowds who gather with cameras ready, waiting just feet below incoming aircraft. The video captures a steady flow of arrivals, ranging from modern jets to legendary warbirds.

The presence of the Saab 37 Viggen and 35 Draken was a welcome sight, but nothing could top the arrival of the sweet-sounding Avro Vulcans (there’s 2 of them!). The spectators were all up on their feet when they saw the Vulcan coming miles away!

But of course, another bomber shared the spotlight. The glorious B-17 bomber makes an appearance as well, adding to the excitement!
