Everyone loves the A-10 Warthog, well except for the folks who are trying to get rid of it for Fifth-Generation fighters but we won’t talk about them. If you’re in the heat of battle in a combat zone there is no better friend to have than an A-10 pilot. The familiar sound of the supersonic bullets is great and all, but let’s not forget the Warthog is also an amazing bomber.
Taking out heavy vehicles is a piece of cake for the A-10’s GAU-8 30 mm cannon, but its bombs make even easier work of them. Warthogs can come equipped with a variety of bombs ranging from Sidewinder missiles, rockets, and incendiary bombs to name a few.
The 422d Test and Evaluation Squadron (422 TES) gets the prestigious honor of flying A-10s and getting to bomb the hell out of everything. In this video, these Warthogs get to blast heavy vehicles to hell and back with a wide variety of guided bombs each with their own distinct explosions and then they even get to finish the job with GAU-8 cannon fire.
