MiG-17 Starts Its Engines For The First Time

Great Engine Run
In this video, we get to see a MiG-17 start its engine for the first time after being dissembled just a couple of months ago.
The engine sounds like new, and a great thing about these engines is they’re simple to maintain, very intuitive, and pretty straightforward (we hope that the smoke isn’t too toxic!)
Getting out of the cockpit while the engine is still running seems pretty irresponsible, though. We also don’t think that it’s wise to run the engine while supported on jacks as it’s a little bit risky.
