Absolutely Incredible!
The Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum acquired this legendary Me 262 in 2000 and has spent years restoring it to its former glory. What makes this even more remarkable is that the aircraft remains completely original—right down to its Jumo engines, with only minor modifications for safety and reliability.
It’s astonishing to think that these engineering marvels were designed and built back in 1943! Even more impressive is how quiet the engines were when they started—completely different from modern replicas.
A huge milestone was reached on September 25, 2019, when the Jumo engines were attached and run on the aircraft for the first time. Seeing and hearing an authentic Me 262 back in action is a historic moment in aviation.
