It’s Not The Same

What a tear-jerker this statement was from the 100-year-old veteran. A native of Lakeland, Florida, WWII veteran Carl Dekel takes pride in his service during the war, a sacrifice he was willing to do for his country.

The sacrifices he and the thousands of other brave men did gave us the freedom to do what we want and enjoy the things we have. Yet, Mr. Dekel found the state of the country hard to stomach. With how everything has been going, lesser opportunities are present and more people find it harder to find joy in their lives.

His last statement came as a piece of advice. “Remember everything is beautiful and live life to the fullest. Enjoy everything you possibly can.”
