World War II Veteran Skydives To Celebrate 100th Birthday

What a peculiar gift this was for this veteran’s 100th birthday. For people over the age of 90, a relaxing dinner party would have sufficed. For this veteran, jumping out of a plane seems better than a dinner party.

Tom Rice looked as cool as a cucumber during the flight. There is no doubt he prepared for this jump. It wasn’t his first post-war skydive too. Back in 2019, he teamed up with the same people for a tandem skydive into Normandy back in 2019 for the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

This would not have happened if not for Skydive Palatka. Art Shaffer, the owner, is famous for providing veterans the opportunity to do tandem skydives.
