The An-225 Mriya was known as the world’s largest aircraft – and it did not disappoint.
Coming in at a whopping 275ft in length and 290ft in wingspan, the six-engined Mriya’s immense size and power in the air just makes it mesmerizing to look at!

In this short clip from Instagram, we can see just how massive the An-225 is as it flies over an excited crowd on a cloudy day.

The Mriya “parted” the clouds as it passed through, leaving a path only a plane that size could ever make.
According to one commenter, this was due to the heat from the Mriya’s six engines producing so much thermal wake that the air temperature rose above the point of saturation, and the droplets turned back into vapor temporarily.

Isn’t that neat!?
