If you want to see some amazing piloting skills, then you’re in the right place. This huge BA 747, which was on its way to Washington, was taking off during Storm Oscar.

The storm introduced a lot of heavy crosswind during the 747’s takeoff run at Heathrow Airport, giving the crew one heck of a challenge.

Fairly early into its takeoff run, we can see the 747 approaching it with a “crab walk.” The aircraft can be seen veering to both sides as it struggles to gain altitude. One might even wonder if it could have clipped the fences nearby!

Fortunately, the pilots operating this beast were more than capable of handling such a challenge. It can’t get any better than that!
