Gigantic B-52 Blasts A Tremendous Smoke Cloud – Choke On This!

For over 60s there have been few bombers that even come close to the level of performance of the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress. Bombs, big bombs, little bombs, nuclear bombs, and all sorts of explosives are held within the B-52. But to haul those bombs halfway around the world the B-52 requires some real power and that’s where its Pratt & Whitney JT3D engines come into play.

B-52s have eight powerful Pratt & Whitney JT3D engines that really get the big jet moving. Just like the B-52 that they are attached to the JT3D engines have been operating on big jets for close to 60 years. These engines are pretty damn big and burn a lot of fuel and pump out a ton of smoke.
