Here’s A B-17 Flyby You’ve Never Seen-And Will Probably Never Forget | World War Wings Videos

Now That Is Awesome.

Sometimes Youtube just hands you a gift. This is one such time.

While perusing the interwebs like we typically do, Youtube suggested this compilation of flyby videos. Although we’ve seen many of them, there are two gems hidden in there for warbird fans. A B-17 flying low and banking over the cameraman.

There are two flybys at different spots. The second (and even lower one) is 40 seconds into the video.

To make this even better, we’ve researched what plane this was. The tail number 8846 told us that it’s The Pink Lady from France. Although grounded for the time being (due to funds,) she was the only airworthy B-17 that saw action in Europe at the time the video was taken. That makes this video that much more special.

Keep in mind, this is a compilation. There are a lot of really neat flybys of jets and private aircraft, so if that’s your poison then go to town. We’ve queued up the part where the first B-17 flyby is, the second one being a bit later in the video as mentioned above.

Hope you enjoy this as much as we had.
