Beautiful And Deadly!

Do I want to learn how to fly the Vought F4U Corsair? Well for the record, it was the first ever Allied warbird which can go toe-to-toe with the legendary Japanese Zero so I say heck yes! It didn’t earn the respect of Japanese opponents for nothing and besides, when it took to the skies, it could strike fear to the enemies with just its distinctive sound. Boasting of maneuverability, speed and firepower; flying the Whistling Death is every aviation enthusiast’s dream. The thing is, your initial impression would probably be that the plane looked like someone found various parts and just had to put them together. Mismatched? Sort of. Excellent air superiority fighter? Absolutely!

I don’t know about you but this video shows how challenging it is to be a Corsair pilot. For one, there’s are lots of information to remember. Also, engaging in combat is just ONE of the things they had to do. Man, they truly are masters at multi-tasking.
