Absolutely Beautiful!
In this footage, we get to hear the powerful R-2800 Radial Engine of this Korean War Corsair F4U-5NL that flew over the skies of Gelnhausen on its debut flight in front of a large crowd of spectators.

This original aircraft was built in 1950 and served various combat missions in the Korean War. And the plane’s big radial engine sound is always so distinct.

There’s nothing like the sound of a radial engine- these things were really built to last.
Pilot Georg Raab gave us an amazing display as well. It’s always a pleasure seeing this tough rugged warbird taking the skies.

Do you think that Corsair is WWII’s best American fighter? Let us know in the comments!
