Old RADIAL ENGINES Cold Starting Up and Loud Sound | World War Wings Videos

What a Beautiful Noise

If you’ve come across WWII bombers like the B-25 or the B-17, then it’s likely that you’re already familiar with radial engines. Many of the planes in the WWII era are using very big powerful, radial engines to drive their propellers.

This footage features old radial engines’ cold starting up and loud sounds. We got to say we love the sounds coming from these radial engines! Not only are these engines highly functional, starting up and idling, but they’re  most definitely works of art.

Our favorite has got to be the P&W R-2800, the engine used by one of the iconic WWII fighters, the P-27 Thunderbolt. How about you? Are you a radial engine fan? If so, Which one is your favorite?
