SpaceX Made History With Their Falcon 9 Finally Doing….
This Guy’s The Future.
We’re going to go far out with this article. By that we mean as far out as space. Although not military related (at least not yet) what happened earlier this May could and probably will have major military applications.
For those of you who don’t follow the news about our humanitarian venture into the last final frontier, SpaceX is certainly a big deal. The CEO, Elon Musk (founder of Tesla Motors, Paypal, Solar City, OpenAI), has been forging ahead to better the human race for years now. His latest venture, which is SpaceX, is dwarfing the efforts of NASA which was publicly funded for nearly 60 years now.
Musk’s mission was to invent a rocket ship which could be both reused but also done so in a short interval of time. This makes human spaceflight at least 10 times less expensive and limits all sorts of waste. This brings us to this month’s test.
After many failures, Falcon 9 successfully delivered a communications satellite into orbit, while the first stage section came back down to earth be be reused. It was supposed to land on a barge floating in the Atlantic and it did although engineers foresaw complications which didn’t occur.
Next stop? Mars according to Elon Musk.
