Mustang in Action
The P-51 Mustang is one of the most versatile planes of Word War II. In fact, many people consider it WWII’s best fighter. The Mustang has been used in all major theaters of the war because of its excellent speed, range, firepower, and maneuverability.
Now, when it comes to numbers, there’s probably no other Allied aircraft that comes close to the Mustang in terms of confirmed kills- it downed approximately 5,9554 planes throughout the war.
The video showcases a P-51 Mustang model from the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, California. It featured the Mustang, nicknamed “Spam Can,” in action with a flight demo in the end, much to the delight of the admiring crowd of plane enthusiasts gathered at the venue. The sound of its Merlin engines is simply distinct and powerful. What a machine!
