Pure Engine Sound!

This footage gives us a glimpse of Spitfire and Hurricanes that operate out of Headcorn Aerodrome in Kent.

We’re impressed by the fact that there are so many flying WWII planes out there, and the incredible work that’s been put in for its modern restoration.

The Spitfire is one of the sleekest warplanes out there since its shape is a blend of both simplicity and beauty. The Hurricane is a fine-looking plane that often doesn’t get as much love as it deserves. For us, the highlight is at 17:24 when the three of them flew in formation.

Also, the sound of those engines is music to our ears! There’s no sweeter sound in aviation than a Merlin at full throttle! This definitely sent shivers down our spine, giving us goosebumps.
