Fantastic Thermal Video Of Plane Landing-Keep Your Eyes On The Tires

You can do endless things with today’s technology but sometimes what things are designed for can have quite entertaining uses elsewhere. Such is the case in this video.

Someone had the neat idea to capture a commercial jet on approach using a thermal camera. Although it might be viewed as useless to some, we thought it was cool to see that. Sure, the jet exhaust looks awesome and all but what we found fascinating was how quickly the wheels heat up when the plane lands.

We all know that at that speed rubber will heat up pretty quickly, but it’s actually instant and intense for that matter. Hold on till the end of the video (sorry, can’t fastforward because we found this on Instagram) and see the explosivness of that heat.

Also, take a look at that cockpit before the landing. It looks like the pilots are nice and warm too!
