Tree Hugger.

On September 11th, 2017, a small single-engine Cessna 172 crashed into a parking lot of a technology company in Plainville, Connecticut. A bystander was quoted as saying,” I was sitting down at the end of the parking lot here, looked up because I heard the plane.” He then continued to describe watching it crash right in front of him.

The pilot, Manfred Frost, was flying out from the local airport to have breakfast when something went wrong. A local plane spotter said that he saw Frost taking off but then banking away from the runway and losing airspeed. Then, he heard a loud crashing sound and knew the plane went down.

As you’ll see in the video, Frost hit a tree in a parking lot which flipped his plane 180 degrees and landed as if he was looking for a parking spot. He hit the pavement hard, but fortunately for him, received minor injuries and was released from the hospital the same day.

The plane remains in the parking lot, taped off, while the FAA concludes their investigation.
