The hits keep coming for officials of the US Navy amid crashes that have caused the deaths of innocent crewmen. Following the crash of the USS John McCain two more US Naval Senior Officials have been removed from their positions.

Several Naval Staff members have been fired from their roles after the crashes of the USS Fitzgerald and more recently the USS John McCain. Rear Admiral Charles Williams and Captain Jeffrey Bennett are the latest to take the fall in the USS John McCain crash which damages estimated in the hundreds of millions and took the lives of ten sailors.

“Vice Adm. Phil Sawyer, commander of U.S. 7th Fleet, Sept. 18, relieved the commander of Task Force 70 (CTF 70), Rear Adm. Charles Williams and the commander of Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, Capt. Jeffrey Bennett. Both reliefs were due to a loss of confidence in their ability to command.”
