UPDATE | Leaked Footage Of This Morning's Simulated Attacks

Now We Get To Actually See It.

This morning we found out that USS Donald Cook, a U.S. Navy Destroyer performing NATO exercises in the Baltic Sea ran into some peculiar troubles. Although it has happened before, Russian Su 24s buzzed the Destroyer, performing “simulated attacks.” (SEE FULL STORY HERE)

As we said these types of shenanigans have happened before, but this time the jets got closer than ever before. The flew by 100 feet off the surface and about 30 feet from the hull of the ship. That’s too close for comfort by any standard.

What’s more, this type of act directly violates a 1974 treaty signed by both countries which prohibit exactly such incidents. That’s yet another layer of this story that we’ll have to follow up.

This morning we gathered up the facts and told you what the Navy and Pentagon were willing to release at the time. Right now however, we got our hands on a single Youtube channel which somehow got the footage of this morning’s buzzfest.

Check it out for yourself. The expressions of on the sailors faces didn’t seem to show any sort of glee.

There are two videos we got our hands on. The second one really drives the point home.
