Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Gets Honored With A Tank Named After Him – Not Everyone Is Happy

Seriously, who doesn’t like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson? Known for his strength, wrestling, and over-the-top action movies, he’s the perfect person to name a tank after. So that’s exactly what the Blackhawk Squadron of the 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss in Texas did.
“If you smell what America’s Tank Division is cooking!”
Shoutout to the #IronSoldiers assigned to the @Blackhawk_SQDN for naming one of their tanks in homage to the @TheRock.
Hopefully the “People’s Champ” will see it and give you guys a shoutout and a retweet!#TuesdayThoughts pic.twitter.com/xMm2aKBArSโ 1st Armored Division (@1stArmoredDiv) March 12, 2019
The 1st Armored Division posted a picture to social media in the hopes that the news would reach The Rock. It did, and naturally, he was honored. He responded on Instagram in the post below:
Then things got a little weird. Many of his fans were happy for the star to be honored. However, quite a few had a critical thing or two to say about Johnson supposedly supporting war and death and all that is evil.
Here’s what a few Instagram users commented:
“Really, naming a tank in the name of the rock?? People are suffering from terrorism, war. and he’s encouraging it. Good job.”
“You don’t care about having people murdered in your name so…yeah. This is the role model for kids…think…a little bit at least.”
But we really doubt the Rock is too concerned by this sudden loss of followers. After all, now he has a tank named after him!
