In this video, we get to see an F-15 make an emergency landing using the arrestor cable.
The F-15E Strike Eagle of the 492d Fighter Squadron released a tail hook with the goal of catching the arrestor cable.
Meanwhile, the fire department, crash teams and 48th Maintenance Squadron are in position to assist the pilot if they need it.
While the arresting cables on the carrier are quite the same at the bases, the carrier ones bring the jet to an abrupt halt. Meanwhile, the cables in the base bring the plane to a more gradual stop.
