Impressive Corsair Startup

Timeless Corsairs
F4U Corsairs have got to have one of the best-sounding engines to date. This video uploaded by Mag30th seventeen years ago supports that statement.
In the video, we see a Corsair start up its engine in what seems like an empty parking lot – though that’s most probably a hangar.
The Corsair’s R-2800 radial engine worked flawlessly, with a smokey startup to boot! It also stretched out its wings at around the 1-minute mark, so watch out for that.
Pratt & Whitney R-2800s have a rated output of 2,380 hp and were used by the Corsair, Marauder, Hellcat, and the P-47 Thunderbolt during its service. That’s an elite company of aircraft to be associated with!
