Here’s a neat look at what happens behind the scenes, on almost the smallest level, of the United States Airforce. Although most of you aviation fans who follow World War Wings definitely know and appreciate what these people do, the average citizen doesn’t give it a second thought. 

Let’s change that.

One of the sayings we know goes, “fighter pilots make movies while bomber pilots make history.” That’s a very true statement, but without maintainers, not a single pilot could make anything happen. They’d be grounded. From refueling their aircraft to checking the strength of rivets, these men and women keep these aircraft flying in tip-top shape.
