Loud Screaming B-1 Engine Blasted To Absolute Limit – Crank Up The Volume!

The Rockwell B-1 Lancer has been a staple of the US Air Force since its introduction in the mid-1980s. Its role as a supersonic bomber means delivering powerful payloads quickly and getting away even faster. To achieve such incredible speeds the B-1 requires very powerful engines and they have to be maintained to make sure they are in the best form.
Equipped with four General Electric F101 Jet Engines the B-1 can reach speeds over Mach 2.2. They need some serious power to put in that kind of thrust and require proper testing to ensure they can reach full speeds without malfunctioning. For testing the engines with that kind of power they require a facility like as the T-9 Noise Suppression System.
Needless to say, these engines get pretty loud and can be heard from miles away. The T-9 facility helps to reduce the noise for your the and be able to take the force that the engine puts off. Check out this video the B-1 Lancer engine pushed to its absolute limit to see what it can really do.
