Once a Pilot, Always a Pilot
Back in the day, Hugo Broch flew a Messerschmitt on 324 missions for the Luftwaffe.
He flew over the skies of Kent, where the RAF held them off during the Battle of Britain. Broch was credited with 81 victories. Now, aged 95, this German ace fulfills his dream of flying the iconic British aircraft, the Spitfire.
When asked about his experience, he said, “The Spitfire is a good machine and I have again experienced what flying is and how beautiful flying is.”
It’s amazing how he’s still in good shape for a man in his 90s as well!
