Band of Brothers fans rejoice as Apple TV+ releases the trailer for their new upcoming limited series “Masters of the Air.”
The series, which is backed and produced by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman, serves as a “companion piece” to the highly acclaimed Band of Brothers (2001) and The Pacific (2010) miniseries, which Hanks and Spielberg also produced.
It is based on Donald L. Miller’s book, “Masters of the Air: How The Bomber Boys Broke Down The War Machine”, and follows the young men of the 100th Bomb Group called the “Bloody Hundredth.”
“Some were shot down and captured; some were wounded or killed. And some were lucky enough to make it home. Regardless of individual fate, a toll was exacted on them all.”
Austin Butler is set to lead the series as Major Gale “Buck” Cleven, while Callum Turner plays his best friend, Major John Egan.
Masters of the Air is expected to land on January 26, 2024. But, for now, Apple has dropped a trailer and a few first-look images of the show.
